Exceptional Support & Tailored Housing Solutions

Modern, Comfortable Homes with Personalised Care and 24/7 Support

Our Approach to Care and Support

We provide comfortable accommodation in modern, high-spec homes, where residents have their own private space, complemented by a spacious communal kitchen and living area. An experienced health support worker is available on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week, ensuring support is always readily accessible.

At Cherished Care, we place a strong focus on providing bespoke, personalised care. Care plans are developed by our clinical consultant in collaboration with the residents and are dynamic documents that are regularly reviewed.

Our philosophy encourages residents to take an active role in managing their mental health. We also believe that residents benefit from being part of a therapeutic community, where staff not only provide support but residents also support one another. Learning to care for the welfare of others is an essential aspect of many residents' long-term rehabilitation.

Our accommodation offers the best of both worlds: privacy when needed, along with the opportunity for residents to gradually step out of their comfort zone in a planned and supportive manner.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of supported living options do you provide?

We offer bespoke supported living solutions tailored to the individual needs of each resident, from shared spaces to adapted homes. Our accommodations include private, comfortable living spaces complemented by communal areas, ensuring a balance of privacy and community engagement. We provide 24/7 support from experienced health workers, with a focus on personalised care.

How do you ensure that each resident’s care plan is tailored to their specific needs?

Each resident’s care plan is created in collaboration with our clinical consultant and the resident themselves or their representatives. We take the time to understand their preferences, needs, and goals to develop a dynamic, bespoke care plan. This plan is regularly reviewed to ensure it remains relevant and practical as their needs evolve.

How do you create bespoke, adapted spaces for people with physical disabilities?

At Cherished Care, we are committed to creating living spaces that are fully adapted to meet the unique needs of individuals with physical disabilities. We work closely with each resident to understand their requirements, ensuring that their home is safe, accessible, and comfortable. This may include installing wheelchair-friendly access, grab rails, modified bathrooms, and custom furniture designed for ease of use.

We also collaborate with occupational therapists and other specialists to ensure the space is designed to maximise independence while providing the necessary support for daily living. Our goal is to create an environment that promotes comfort, autonomy, and dignity.

Can I visit before committing to a supported living placement?

Absolutely. We encourage potential residents and their families to visit our facilities to see the accommodations and meet our team. This allows you to get a true sense of the care environment and ask any questions about the services we provide.

How do you support residents with mental health or medical conditions?

We provide comprehensive care that includes support for mental health, physical health, and overall well-being. Our team is experienced in providing care for individuals with various medical conditions, including mental health challenges, substance misuse, and long-term illness. We also work with external professionals, such as occupational therapists, to ensure each resident receives the appropriate level of care.

Is there flexibility in the type of support provided in supported living?

Yes, our supported living services are flexible and adaptable. We understand that each resident is unique, so we provide care and support that evolves with their needs. Whether it’s assistance with daily tasks, medication management, or emotional support, we adjust the level of care to ensure the resident’s independence and comfort.

What happens if a resident’s care needs change over time?

As part of our commitment to personalised care, we regularly review each resident’s care plan to ensure it reflects any changes in their needs. If a resident’s condition or requirements change, we adapt their care plan accordingly, ensuring they continue to receive the highest level of support.
